Black belt grading with Master Liversidge details to follow.

Students of Rutlands longest running martial arts school completed another succesful grading examination. The grading was held at Cottesmore Village Hall on 26th September 2009 and conducted by Ian Waumsley IVth Degree, David Anderson IIIrd Degree, Peter Conboy Ist Degree and Ryan Field Ist Degree. Results were : 9th Kup: Tiegan Bignall, Shannon Beasor,Benjamin Rigby and Steve Winch. 8th Kup: Raidon Davey, Ross Fairgrieve, Liam Coupland, Ryan Birch, Jared Measures, Shaun Davey, Nathan Willis and Kitana Davey. 7th Kup: Chris Willis. 6th Kup: Wesley Merrill. 4th Kup: Thomas Rigby, Tim Miles ( D.G.Anderson Memorial Trophy winner), Simon Merrill, Louie Miles, Ross Coupland, Freddie Pegelow and Lauren Miles. At Mr Hay Harris;s Competition in Lutterworth on 29/03/09 Mr Ryan Field won a bronze medal in the black belt sparring. Congratulations Ryan.

A full grading was held on Saturday 7th March with 41 successful entrants at Cottesmore Village Hall. Examiners were: Mr Waumsley IVth Degree, Mr Steele IIIrd Degree, Mr Anderson IIIrd Degree,Miss Costello IInd Degree, Mr Conboy Ist Degree, Mr Field Ist Degree and Miss Patte Ist Degree. Assistants were Garry Taylor 1st Kup and John Penfold 2nd Kup.Thanks to you all.

Succesful students were: 9th Kup White/Yellow belt; Dan Fairgrieve, Nathan Willis, Lian Coupland, Ross Fairgrieve, Jared Measures, Brandon Baker, Ryan Birch, Jamie McDonald, Sean Davy, Raidon Davy, Kitana Davy, Fiona Clough and Jake Adams. 8th Kup Yellow Belt; Chris Willis and Sam Conboy. 7th Kup Yellow/Green belt; Wesley Merrill, Dana Merrill, Ryan Moore, Daniel Lenarts, Zak Higlett and Chris Clough. 6th Kup Green belt; Charlotte Clake and Wayne Clarke. 5th Kup Green/Blue belt;Jake Sharratt, Simon Merrill, Reece Merrill, Ross Coupland, Lauren Miles, Louis Miles, Tim Miles,Thomas Rigby, Clive Pegelow, Freddie Pegelow, Steve Creasey ,Johnnie Spencer, Andy Raistrick, Jack Raistrick and Jason Coverley. 4th Kup Blue belt; Ben Haggerty and Steve Cuthbert. 3rd Kup Blue/Red belt; Billy Stewart. 2nd Kup Red belt; Charlie Stewart and Laura Moore. Congratulations to you all and once again to Chris Willis for the best performance and holder of the D.G Anderson Memorial trophy for a bit longer.

At our latest grading Chris Willis gained the highest pass mark to gain control of the D.G. Anderson Memorial Trophy. Congratulations Chris.

Full results were: Chris Willis promoted to 9th Kup White/Yellow belt, Zak Higlett and Daniel Lenarts promoted to 8th Kup Yellow belt, Tim Miles, Lauren Miles, Louie Miles, Clive Pegelow, Freddie Pegelow, Johnnie Spencer, Ross Coupland, Simon Merrill and Reece Merrill promoted to 6th Kup Green belt, Seve Cuthbert, Andy Raistrick and Ben Haggerty promoted to 5th Kup Green/Blue belt and Garry Taylor promoted to 1st Kup Red/Black belt.

Charlie Patte passed her Black Belt 1st degree on Saturday the 19th of July 2008. She took the grading along with other Yon-Hap members from South Lincs Taekwon-do under Master Liversidge, ITF VIIIth Degree after a seminar on patterns and destruction by Master Liversidge. Recently the British Amateur Taekwon-do Association have joined ranks with the Yon-Hap (Alliance) and will be joining us for training (they invite us to their classes as well), competitions and seminars etc. BATA are based in Grantham (Meres Leisure Centre) and Melton Mowbray. ATS welcomes them to Yon-Hap.

A Grading examination was held at Cottesmore Village Hall on 26/04/2008. The standards were very high at the exam overseen by D Anderson III, D Mowbray II, P Conboy I, R Field I, P Conboy (Junior) I and C Patte (1st Kup).
All participants were succesful with the D.G Anderson Memorial Trophy being awarded to Tim Miles.

On 17/02/08 members of Yon-Hap TKD visited the White Tiger TKD Academy in Moulton, Northampton for a seminar with Stuart Anslow, author of a patterns applications book and writer for Combat magazine. A recent examination at the Isaac Newton Memorial Hall, Colsterworth on 05/01/2008 resulted in 100% pass rates and 26 promotions. Congratulations to all and thanks to everyone that helped out. Special congratulations to Garry Taylor whose performance earned him the D.G. Anderson Memorial Trophy which he keeps until the next full school examination.

We have been in existence in Rutland since the eighties originally at RAF Cottesmore, Cottesmore Village and Greetham and offer membership to people from 8 to 80, male or female. Prices are very reasonable and the club is an ideal place to make new friendships and learn the traditional art of Chang Hon Taekwon-do.

ATS practice ITF/Chang Hon Style Taekwon-do without over emphasising the sine wave.We are members of the AMA, founding member of Yon Hap and allied to IAOMAS.
